IMHO Bread and Butter pudding is one of the few dishes which is better made in bulk. It was often the only decent pudding in school dinners and the army cookhouse.

 

Soaking the raisins and sultanas in rum or brandy elevates it to magical heights.:D

On the Emerald in September it was trifle instead of the bread and butter pudding at the pub lunch.

They tend to switch them around when there is more than one sea day and then more than one pub lunch.
