Carnival Breeze 10/23/16 review....my first try at this photo review thing....

Got our burgers and decided that was just not enough so we went inside the buffet to get dessert. But surprisingly I did not take a picture! So we walked around the ship a little.main pool and water slides...this was the place to be!!

aft pool, we went there just for the pizza, I don't know why but this cruise nobody in my family wanted to get in the pools, or do the water park or even a hot tub, not even once. I was very disappointed but Nat was very clingy during this cruise. She didn't want to go to the kids club even after talking about it for more than 3 months knowing that she was finally going into Club O and not with the little kids club in Circle C. Plus no pool time or Waterworks for her....just weird. I guess she was was just off a little. Maybe next year.

 

Muster time came around before we knew it. We had muster station C4 in the conference room. We were herded into the back and I stated feeling wheezy and nauseas, I think I just got overheated and excused myself before everyone saw my lunch....I just needed some cold water on my face and then went back in. It felt like it took forever.

 

Afterward I really wanted to go to the sail away party but my family felt tired and decided to go back to the cabin where we met our steward lady. She was super sweet, and always helpful. We asked for an extension for M's C-Pap machine and ice. She said Hi to us everyday and knew us all by name. Then this happened

Then stated getting ready for dinner

M does not like to dress up for dinner so decided the buffet was it for tonight.

This is me! Oh yeah, since I'm the one that takes the pictures in the family....you'll see a lot of selfies....sorry!

Before going to Buffet stopped at Taste Table. They had Bonsi and it was delicious!

Now for our real dinner! I was worried about the food quality but not to worry.....the food is similar to the served in the main dining room. It was actually very good!

We took a stroll around to the Ocean Plaza Bar when the Breeze cover band, the Easy Breezy, were playing They were very good!

We had a drink and walked over to the atrium and sat down at some of the bar seats around the stair case

we sat and listened to the Bold Bass Sounds band. My daughter plays the trombone so that was interesting for her. Then of course she wanted Candy!!!

M just wanted to sit and chill

Cherry on Top is such as addictive place! Especially for a child and a diabetic like myself!!! Just pictures for me and gummy worms for Nat Elevators

Before the show we played some Bingo....got one number away from winning the jackpot of course!

Show time!! The shows were pretty good! The dancing and singing at the same time probably took a toll on the performers but they did their best.

Next was bedtime, we found a cute towel animal...I think it's a dog

DAY 2 -- Fun Day at Sea

 

Good morning somewhere in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico

Actually this is where we are at

Thanking God for every wonderful day of life but especially this one because I'm on my cruise and healthy of course!

 

Breakfast at the lido....M is not a buffet person at all when we are home but on the Breeze he really liked it especially the made to order omelettes....he didn't care to wait in line for a while and he is not a patient person. very good selections

. It was all good but I really would have liked toasted and hot bread options because the bagels and toasts were kinda stale from sitting out I guess.

After breakfast Nat said she was feeling a little dizzy so she went back to the room to lay down and M and I went for a walk.

We went to check out Serenity for adults only area. This place has cushion loungers and hammock. It wraps around the front and also has a bar and hot tub or two.

We walked in and it was windy, really windy!!! We saw that there was a hammock but an elderly couple were in it. Suddenly the man decided he wanted to swing his lovely wife on the hammock but instead she fell right off onto her back and hit her head.....I was really worried and wanted to run over and see if she needed any help but then she moved and got up slowly.....I bet he had a lot of making up to do the rest of cruise! Poor lady!!!

Then it was lunch time so we went looki for Nat and found her like this

si we told her it was Pizza for lunch and off we went. The pizza is really good and always had a line waiting. They probably need more than two making them.

 

Pizza makes everything better!

After lunch walked some more

Afterwards we started to get tired so back to the cabin for a nice cozy nap[emoji99]

 

Tonight is elegant night!!!

I did say I was new to this right.

 

Anyways I'll try to finish a whole day today....

 

Back to the review

 

So it's formal night!!! My favorite night. I love getting all dressed up and seeing everyone one else dressed up in their best. Now don't get me wrong I like going casual most of the time but every once in a while it's nice to get all prettied up and feel a little more special. M does not like to dress up. But after some words and compromises (begging) He did. My goal in life is to see him in a tailored suit and tie. Still working on that one. But he went along with it and plus we were to eat at the main dining room tonight.

I also decided that tonight we would take out family portraits....I think it's been about 10 years since out official family pictures.

So we got ready for those first and then the PG comedy show and then dinner and then the main show.

I thought we looked very nice!!!

 

I felt a little uncomfortable with my dress so decided to change into something more comfortable while M and Nat went to the comedy club. They said the show was really good. and since M refuses to wear a tie, I decided I would wear one instead.

Dinner was in the Blush Dinning Room. I thought it was the prettiest of the two. the chandelier were so beautiful

We met our table mates which was a guy and his wife and his best friend. They were very nice and funny. The guy had had a few drinks before and just kept us laughing the whole time. But it would be the only time we had dinner in the Dinning room so we didn't see them again. I believe they were from the Houston area.

We were having so much fun that I totally forgot to take pictures of my food which was weird because I got two servings of the lobster plate and so did M. Nat got the spaghetti. Dessert was the cream brûlée all around finally remembered to take one food photo

Then this happened . It's always fun to see the wait staff sing and dance but it must be so exhausting for them after all they already do, they still have to dance around and sing and entertain us.

After dinner we walked over to the atrium to listen to some music and take more family pictures this was my favorite it was the Latin Boys.

My husband and I actually like to dance a lot, but this cruise he just wasn't into it. Not once did we go to the night club or any other place for dancing. I was bummed. Even Nat wouldn't dance with me. But here is a video of some little ones dancing unlike us that we're sitting up around the atrium.https://vimeo.com/193168853

Waited around a bit till the main show started. Tonight we had the Motor City Show! It was pretty good!

It's good night time. I went outside on our balcony for some fresh air and just to look out on the darkness that is the Sea and thank God for the wonderful opportunity to see the ocean in this way knowing that His creation is amazing!!!this little fellow was waiting for us.

Didn't I say that God's creation is amazing....just look at that sunrise over Cozumel! first look at the port of Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

This is my forth time to Cozumel. I like to do different things every time so this time I researched all inclusive excursions with and without Carnival. I settled on Catamaran ride to Isla Pasión with Carnival. It wasn't that expensive and drinks and meal and transport were included. Plus my coworker had done this excursion a couple months ago and she enjoyed it very much. Our pick up time was 10:15 so we had plenty of time for breakfast and pre shopping.

wow this ship is huge. I can't even fit it all on this picture as I'm walking to the entrance of the obligatory shops. I ended up doing most of my souvenir shopping here anyway. in the background there was a Princess ship, I don't know which one but it was also as grand.

This port of Cozumel is nicely taken care of. I believe by Carnival. We walked around and went into some shops just pricing things for later. We met with our guide and he put our bracelets on but told us our trip was pushed back about an hour and to meet back up there then. No problem. More looking around for me

one of the best fountains I've seen...a nod to the many Mayan temples in the area waiting area for our group but they were already at the catamaran when we went looking for them. We were almost left behind. told you I love palm trees!
