Diamonds International and RCCL

Just a few days away from my cruise leaving Saturday. I bumped into a link on RCCL's website about in port shopping and Diamonds International kept popping up. What is the deal with RCCL and DI? Makes me want to avoid DI.

Smart choice, IMO. ;) DI is a cruise line "approved" vendor as they guarantee their merchandise via RCI should there be a problem with it down the road. I believe that their prices are higher as a result and a fee is paid to RCI for the privilege - hence the pop up adds.

The way RCCL pushes DI I was wondering if they got a commission for it. Surprised there is not an outlet on board.
