Booking a future cruise while on board

Question, I am interested in booking a future cruise while on my next trip.

I'm interested in transferring that to a TA. Is it possible to get the perks of using a TA with this type of booking?

The answer is yes. I have booked cruises while on a cruise and indicated that I will be using a TA. You put in the name at that time. Later I checked with the TA and they advised that they were notified. They handled all paperwork from that point like final payment and such. Also got a credit from the TA.

No problem with your plan and getting perks from TA.

I have never used a TA. I am going to use one next time and see if it works out better for me.

Yes you can. I did it a few years ago after booking direct with HAL. Now when I book a future cruise it is automatically sent to my travel agent.
