The Steak has switched to an garlic butter NY strip. Its approx 9 - 12 oz. I just had it the other day on liberty and i can say its pretty decent but not a filet thats for sure.

I think they called it a "strip loin" on Indy a couple weeks ago. My wife had it, I wasn't too impressed. Deserts weren't good either. Not sure we'll be going back to Giovanni's on any ships.:(

I agree. The filet was out of this world. The strip loin you can get any night in the dining room for free.

The strip loin on the MDR menu is HORRIBLE compared to what we got at Giovannis. The one in the MDR was less than a half inch thick and was like shoe leather even ordered medium rare. The one at GT was about an inch thick and cooked well.

The one I had on the Oasis 3 weeks ago was full of gristle, half of it was inedible. But I didn't read the menu so it was my fault. Just won't eat there again.

I had the steak at Giovanni's on Oasis two weeks ago and it was truly awful! Tough as shoe leather, and zero flavor. I do not eat cheese, so this was pretty much my only entree option on the menu. We will not return to this restaurant again after this meal. :mad:
