Candycrusher Posted December 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2016 Several weeks ago, someone posted live from the Regal Princess that Amber Cove was inundated with flies! Those passengers that have been there more recently, is the fly situation improved?

arizonaperson Posted December 16, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 16, 2016 Several weeks ago, someone posted live from the Regal Princess that Amber Cove was inundated with flies! Those passengers that have been there more recently, is the fly situation improved? I was on the cruise where the fly issue was brought up. 11-13-16, not saying there was not flies ,but we did not experience any flies at all and we took a tour into the hills and did not experience Any flies. We also after our tour walked around the pool area so we could experience the pool and take pictures and no bugs or flies. So perhaps these flies were only for a small amount of time while we were in Amber Cove? We also sprayed ourselves with deet prior to getting on the Safari vehicle. We also upon sail away from Amber Cove were on our balcony and no flies. Julie

Rare azbirdmom Posted December 16, 2016 #8 Share Posted December 16, 2016 The flies were a problem on the ship and it was the inaugural voyage of the Regal to Amber Cove. We were there a couple of days after they had received a devastating amount of rain and that seems to be the culprit based on recent reports. By the way, we enjoyed our day at the Amber Cove pool area and weren't bothered by flies at all while on land, they were only pesky on the ship. Candycrusher Posted December 16, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted December 16, 2016 Thanks for the Fly update, Lol. Sounds like it was just an isolated occurrence, probably due to a weather condition. We look forward to exploring it in January. Sent from my iPad using Forums
