Recent Cruises who play Craps

Recommended Posts

Typo alert:

Should say recent cruisers who play craps!

What was the limit on the ship you were on?

We were on Majesty and the limits have gone up to $10. It is pretty sad for us since we like to play $5 limit craps. Your money goes a little further. Like double.

Thanks for any updates.

My wife likes to play craps too. She was disappointed that the minimum was $10

on our December 5 Majesty cruise. The table saw little activity during our cruise.

Maybe they will roll it back to $5 if this trend continues.

I play 3-card poker for hours when the minimum bet is $5 (which is $15-20 per hand). Sadly, the minimum was $10 on the Harmony. Seems like it would be better to have full tables for $5 than a dealer frequently standing there alone at $10. I played a few times, for brief periods of time, and never sat at a full table or waited for a seat.

I think the minimum was $10 on Allure... the bigger issue is they only offered single and sometimes double odds...

I agree ... for such a large ship the table was empty a lot of times... especially during the day and early evening.

On my early November Serenade cruise, the craps table had a lower limit of $5. But the single odds (unless you put $25 on the pass line) was the real killer.

I would have made a bunch more money if they had 3-5 X odds.

It was $10 on harmony in early december. with that and the crappy odds, there wasn't a lot of interest the first week I was on and then it was completely dead the second week. i don't think the casino supervisors care, it frees up dealers for the other games. they don't seem adequately staffed, three of the supervisors were also part time dealers (they switched when they were needed) so being able to shut one or both craps tables down probably made the scheduling a lot easier. i complained about being the only playing a few times but all I got were shrugs and the explanation that the level of activity varies from week to week.

I've seen mostly $10, but on one cruise a few years ago they had $5 in the afternoon and $10 in the evening. I think they knew business was slower during the day so they lowered the minimums to draw people in.

I'm ok at $10 but if it goes higher I will stop playing.

On Harmony it was $10 minimum with single odds. $25 got you double odds. $10 on blackjack and Roulette too.

It was just too much smoke for me to hang around to play.

The poor odds/smoke made it easier to stay away from the casino the whole cruise.

Royal? Hello? Are you seeing this? Does anyone in Miami ever LISTEN to the customer?

Celebrity is now SMOKE FREE in the casino. Once we're done with the Jewell cruise we are switching to Celebrity, thank you very much.

Oasis Class $10

MJ 3 nights $10

Enchantment 4 nights $5

Serenade 11 night $5

These are all in the last 10 months. Just play the 6/8 or double up $6 each.

Most Vegas Casinos are $20 min until busy and it goes up.

Gambling on RCCL has unfortunately been rough in recent years. The slot machines pay poorly and the odds on most table games are vastly worse than you will find anywhere on land. Tables are $10 minimum and as others have stated the craps odds are horrible. Blackjack is really the only game with pretty good odds left in the casinos these days. RCCL has gotten a tad greedy imo.

I have enjoyed my time in the Casino.... odds on most bets I play are normal odds....

We are just off Celebrity. The smoke free casino was wonderful! Having said that, the minimums there were $10 also. The casino definitely was not full. I am sure it would have had more action with $5 tables.

I have seen ships offer $5 tables at the beginning of the cruise to give guests the taste of the casino. I am surprised we don't see that more often.
