Cr2zCr8zy Posted December 30, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2016 Cruise cash is good for everything (my preference) bar or photo cash are only good for bar or photo. This is considered unrefundable OBC, which means if you don't use it you lose it. Sent from my SM-G900T using Forums mobile app
Shaded Lady Posted December 30, 2016 #7 Share Posted December 30, 2016 My last cruise I found a way around this... cruise cash can be used for casino, so on my last night I just loaded the amount outstanding in my S&S card from cruise cash, spent $5 on a slot machine and cashed out the rest. I got $120 in cruise cash I overbought returned to me in cash. Just make sure you're done spending on you S&S card when you do this. Now I'll never be afraid to buy too much cruise cash in advance again.

So basically you paid a $5 "service" fee (in service to that slot machine :D)...

So you lent Carnival x amount of dollars, got the same amount of money to spend on ship, then cleverly only spent 5 dollars so you could get your money back that would have been confiscated my Carnival for non use. What a great deal this cruise cash is!
Shaded Lady Posted December 30, 2016 #10 Share Posted December 30, 2016 Forgot to mention that this is only good for the basic Cruise Cash. If you buy the Bar Cruise Cash or the Photo Cruise Cash, they can only be used for that purpose. but the regular Cruise Cash can be used for anything, including drinks and photos. Oh yeah, I re-read my review to make sure I'd gotten the steps right, and I neglected to mention that not only did I get all my cruise cash back but I won an extra $5 in the process!
