Dress Code

As I'm about to go on the Princess cruise, I want to see if I'm correct or not. I have 2 formal nights and 5 casual nights.

 

Question: Is the formal dinners women wearing the long dresses? Or are there other type of formal dresses I could wear?

 

I do have ONE dress that goes to my ankles and thats about it.

Women wear all kinds of dresses and dressy shirt/pants out fits. Some wear "prom" type dresses, long sun dresses, kind of what ever makes you feel dressed up!

I have often worn cocktail length dresses. Some women will wear silky one piece pants outfits and have fit in.

Havent seen a prom dress on any ship in 10 years, aside from fact it would take up whole suitcase. Maybe 20% gowns, the rest cocktail dresses on the few remaining formal nights.I am speaking of Princess and other mass market cruise ships.

I often wear dress slacks and a fancy top. Do not worry about it.

Few wear evening gowns anymore...but you certainly can! Most will simply be in cocktail or "sunday best" nowadays. Just so you know, you CANNOT be overdressed on a formal night! So, if you have fancy dress and want to bring it...go for it!

 

You will see everything..from slacks and golf shirts/black slacks and tops to tux and gown....and everything in between.

Formal Nights Princess ....

DH on longer takes his tuxedo.

I wear a pair of black silk pants with a silk or lace top.
