Hi

Is anyone having difficulty with this promotion? First it is rather difficult to see which sailing is at par. 2nd when you do find one you discover that it is not really at par when you compare the same sailing on a US website. For example Jan 8 sailing on the GEM promoted as Cdn at par at the rate of $728 IX. The same sailing on a US website is at 549 US same IX category.

Quite misleading and dishonest promotion imo.

I haven't checked that promotion in awhile but in the past it wasn't applicable to any category that ends in the letter X, so the IX category wouldn't be able to get any promotional options...including the at "par".

$549 USD converts to $739 Canadian Dollars as of today

So? "At Par" means that USD1=CAD1; the cost in CAD should be the same as USD.

However Guarantee (X) cabins are never included in specials they are the totally basic price. The Canadian "At Par" offer will not include them so the prices you have seen are correct.

To see the Canadian at par prices you have to do more than just look at the prices on the grid when you do a cruise search. Pick a cabin, continue and you will see that it will ask do you want Canadian at par or some of the free promos (but not both), if you pick Canadian at par you will see the discount.
