Rare Cruz4Sun Posted January 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2017 1st time Disney cruiser here! So I know the adults will get a KTTK card but no lanyard (no problem, I have plenty of these). What kind of ID will my 4 & 7 year old grandkids get? Thanks.
moki'smommy Posted January 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2017 (edited) They will each have a KTTW card. In addition, if the are signed up to participate in the kid programming, they will get a "magic band" which the MUST wear while in the programming. This contains a locator so that the computers in the Club and Lab can show their location within the space at an time their ID is entered. The are used to check the kids into and out of the programming. Their only need for KTTW is getting on and off the ship since they are too young to be charging stuff! NOTHING in the kid programming has a fee. Edited January 6, 2017 by moki'smommy

True, but only if they have the card. At 4 and 7, they shouldn't be walking around the ship unescorted and therefore will have no need to keep the card in their possession. Personally, I'd keep the kid's cards--the only time they'll be needed is to get on and off the ship (including for excursions). They won't be opening stateroom doors, etc. unless their adult is nearby.

cb at sea Posted January 7, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 7, 2017 Kids that young need nothing...no id..and YOU will carry their cards around. Only folks who will be "out and about on their own" need to have their cabin key....
ArthurUSCG Posted January 7, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 7, 2017 We use the kids cards cards for the light switches. If something happens and they are by themselves wondering around the ship, the kids club magic band will tell the crew everything. Also, when the kids are in the club/lab playing, if their are any issues the staff calls you on the wave phone. They can not message you thru the Navigator app. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
