Booking accessible balcony cabin with adjoining room

I book a cruise yearly out of NYC, so far always on NCL. My friends and I get adjoining balcony cabins, but one of my friends has developed mobility issues. We've so far been squeaking by by getting cabins close to the elevator lobby and parking the scooter there.

I am considering booking on Anthem of the Seas because they offer an accessible balcony cabin with an adjoining balcony cabin. NCL Breakaway doesn't have anything like that.

But there are only 3 of them on the Anthem.

How far in advance do those book up? Or do I need to talk to someone about booking them?

Scooters should be IN the cabin...not in hallways or foyers. Those are public spaces, and personal devices should NOT be left there.

I would agree with you, except that we LITERALLY could not get the thing through the cabin door. In fact, my friend damaged the door frame by trying, after being told by the scooter company that it would fit.
