Gold Mine Gal Posted January 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2017 I just found out some balconies are not covered on the Star. Am trying to decide between Caribe and Baja decks. Am told balconies on Caribe are larger and partly covered whereas Baja are completely covered. Is there that much of a difference. We will be on the 15 day Hawaii cruise. Thanks for any help you can suggest. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Balconies on the Caribe Deck, 10, are 9'x9' of which 5' is covered and 4' is not covered. Balconies on the Baja Deck, 11, are 9'x5' and fully covered. The Caribe deck is the deck that sells out fairly quickly. On an Hawaii cruise the first few days to Hawaii and the last few days on the return can be cool, and not really balcony sitting weather. Colo Cruiser Posted January 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Thank you both so much for your information. I will stay on the Caribe deck[emoji4]! Better mark your booking no upgrade or META upgrade only being an upgrade from one cat to the next cat. META=IE: balcony to mini/mini to suite etc.

JF - retired RRT Posted January 11, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 11, 2017 How is this done? Clueless here..hahaStill learning terminology for Princess. Call Princess or your Travel Agent (TA), depending on who you booked with. All bookings are marked "open for upgrade" unless you request different and you can't do it in the Personalizer.
