Has anyone stayed in the room next to the bar? Its room number 08-3174 Ocean View Stateroom. Is it loud? How is the view?? Any information would be much appreciated! :)

Personally I wouldn't book a cabin next to, below or above a public area if I had the choice. I would think depending on the time of day/night you would hear some noise from a bar. JMO.

If you have to ask the question, you already know the answer...there is more risk of noise from that location than if you were farther from the bar or other public area. It almost doesn't matter what others have experienced......

 

My suggestion...just based on common sense...is that you should try to find a different cabin.

We have stayed in this cabin and loved it, would definitely take it again. Very convenient and close to centre of ship, bed near the bathroom, which is our preferred set-up.

 

Next to the cabin is a storage area for the Passport Bar, but the only time we heard some noise was between 10pm - 10.30 pm when they were packing up the bar. If we were in the cabin we could hear some noise for maybe 10 minutes, did not last long.

 

Also, if there was loud music playing in the Atrium early evening this could be heard faintly in the cabin, not annoying at all, just background.

Yeah I have asked to switch, no other cabin available currently. Thats why I am asking the question. I will keep trying.

Oh I would love that room, just a couple of steps to the nearest bar - what bliss that would be especially if you have the inclusive drinks package to boot.

We booked this cabin intentionally, taking a chance with our first oceanview. We loved it! Close to grab a bottle of water, head up to the martini bar or casino, easy trip back to the cabin after an excursion. We were happily surprised, and when we choos OV again, we will try to book this cabin.
