jbonvi137 Posted January 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Hey Everyone! We are taking our first family cruise and would like any tips that you can offer us! Everything from departure port to onboard and off ship ports/excursions. We are going on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas on a Western Caribbean cruise for 7 nights leaving from Galveston at the end of Feb. We have two boys ages 9 and 6 that love to be active! Trip goals are quality family time, memorable experience for the kids and also giving the boys the opportunity to get to know different cultures. Any tips/recommendations that you can give us in regards to this trip would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you in advance!!!
Clarea Posted January 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Many enjoy the helicopter pad for sailaway. Go outside on deck 4, and walk forward, up stairs, and continue forward.

cb at sea Posted January 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2017 A guidebook will be most helpful for deciding WHAT you want to do at your ports. You may find what interests you doesn't require an excursion at al...which can save a bundle! So...head to the library and get a guidebook on your ports. Let the kids peruse it, too! Make it a family affair!
