Numer3 Posted January 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2017 We want to do a sting ray excursion in Grand Cayman. My info says we are there at 10:30. Can we get off Liberty and arrive to pick up spot (at the terminal) by 11:15? I have no idea what is involved, in getting off the ship here. Is it a tender? Or do we just get to walk off? Does that take long? Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
hallasm Posted January 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2017 Cayman is a tender port. It does take 20 - 30 minutes from the ship to port. You also need wait time for your tender. impossible to predict how long, however 1½ hour seems reasonable. Some cruise ships are using their life boat tenders with relatively small capacity. Celebrity did use bigger local tender boats with a capacity of 350 passengers. They do have much higher capacity and our tender process was very smooth with limited wait time. A short video from Cayman tendering. I-AeKB_4Df4
maldenmusic Posted January 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2017 On the Dream in December our actual ride from the ship to the shore was about 6 minutes. But there can be a wait especially to get back onboard.

cb at sea Posted January 27, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2017 You should be fine....not everyone is in a rush to get off right away....and the tender ride is pretty quick.... No worries if there's a wait coming back to the ship. They will not leave you if you are in line for the last tender!
Numer3 Posted January 28, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted January 28, 2017 Thanks so much for the replies! One more question[emoji4] Since this isn't a "Royal" excursion, will we not be allowed off the ship until people on "Royal" excursions get off? Even if we get in line early? Thank you!!
