I know if you book the steakhouse on the first night you get a free bottle of house wine or 50% off other wines. What if you don't drink wine? Can you get a bottle of sparkling cider? If so, do you let them know in advance or once you get there.

I don't know if they have that particular drink but they have a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. They serve children and, of course, many adults don't drink alcohol.

Yes, casual and formal nights are the same. No shorts in the steak house any night.

The Steakhouse

With an elegant, but fun-filled, relaxed and somewhat casual atmosphere and a menu that includes steakhouse favorites, the Steakhouse is guaranteed to be a favorite dining spot. Guests can take in the atmosphere and enjoy the amazing culinary creations of our chefs. The Steakhouse is open daily, 6:00pm-9:30pm.

Are you sure about no shorts any night. On different ships I have seen them.

 

 

I too have seen them but they are prohibited under the dress code. On our last visit when I called to confirm the reservation they specifically said no shorts.

First night sometimes the rule slides because if you have 6:00 reservation you may not have your luggage yet. I've sen that happen.

I don't doubt that it happens. If you have a reservation for the first night, including attire that is within posted rules in your carry-on luggage insures you will not be breaking any rules.

 

If you don't mind breaking the rules why bother to ask what is allowed?

Our luggage did not arrive in time and they told us that we had to book another night. This was on the Sunshine.

My husband had to go and change the other night-they would not let him in wearing shorts. We did not realize this rule was in place.

Usually it's no shorts. When I was on Magic in April they said it didn't matter.

Back to the original question...I would also like to know if we could just have sparkling water or a soda in place of the wine. Has anyone ever had a replacement drink?
