It minimizes the chaos if folks are directed to wait in a large common area that has seats for lots of people. If you check your luggage, you don't want to get off the ship before your luggage does. If you self carry you can basically get off the ship (or get in line to get off the ship) as soon as it is cleared. My guess is that on Anthem you are assigned a waiting area by stateroom location. I was aft, so I got the 270. If I had been forward, I bet I would have gotten the theater.

RCL offers a shuttle for $28.50/pp. There are no other shuttle options for the EWR to Cape Liberty direction unless you book a sleep/cruise package.

Yes, but the question was about EWR to Cape Liberty which operates differently. No organized system of shared rides to CL other than RCL transfers. The taxi dispatcher at Cape Liberty does offer shared rides Cape Liberty to EWR for $20. It's all very confusing for folks who haven't done it before.

Has anyone used the roundtrip RCI transfers from Times Square to Cape Liberty and return to Times Square after the cruise. Just wondering how the experience was? There are not many options from NYC to Cape Liberty so I will probably be using the RCI roundtrip option.
