Someone in trouble on Liberty

Recommended Posts

Not sure what happened. An inside room on the 10th deck was covered up with security earlier when we walked by. They were taking the room apart. I've never seen anything like it. They were calling for additional security as we walked by. When we came back by later, the room is locked and an empty open suitcase is sitting in the hall. My guess is drugs and folks are now in a new "cabin." Must have been serious for all that commotion.

The fact they were taking the room apart does seem to indicate contraband and probably drugs. You may or may not ever hear anything about it. Sometimes, when the bust is large enough, it might make the news. Are you at sea or in port? If you're in port which is it? If at sea, what is your next port? Checking the news for the port they are probably taken off in might turn something up. Sometimes you never find anything out.

We are at sea. Arrive in Galveston in the AM. Our last port was Jamaica on Thursday.

Hmmm. Jamaica...

I would expect the police and possibly DEA to meet the ship. If you're up early enough, you should see someone being escorted off the ship and given their own private ride.

Thanks for the update. I'll have to make sure I go to the Galveston webcam and see if I can watch someone do "the walk of shame". Being led off the ship in handcuffs by Galveston finest.

For all who do not know you can go to Galveston dot com / webcams (no spaces) , choose "Cruise Cam" video camera, then wait for it.

Edited: Sorry I just realized this was the Royalbum Caribbean page. The close ups for walk of shame is for carnival.

If someone dies, does the ship have a morgue? I don't suppose they stop a cruise if a guest expires unless it's ship related (cross-wide sickness).

Yes the ships have a morgue and they don't stop the cruise if a passenger dies. I'm guessing if there are suspicious circumstances the other guests might know what's going on, otherwise I doubt most passengers would know anything had happened.

I'm so glad they're keeping us safe. Wouldn't want any of that Jamaican stuff mixing in with all the legal MJ here in Colorado. I will sleep much better tonight and don't regret my thousands of taxes that will go to keep this dangerous person incarcerated.

Sarcasm off.
