Taxi from port to Sagrada Familia

It will likely be in the 15-20€ range...depending on traffic and assuming you have an honest taxi driver :). We have previously had some "issues" with Barcelona taxis. One driver had a "broken" meter that was using the night rate (about 30% more than the day rates) during the daytime. We have also had several drivers (over the years) that preferred to use a "long route" to get from Point A to Point B (if you know your way and mention this to the driver he will likely say he is taking a longer way to avoid traffic).

Take the metro. If you are near the port, Start at drassanes station, transfer at diagonal, L10(blue line) to sagrada familia metro station. Cheapest way is to Buy a T-10 ticket for 9.99 euro. Up to four people can use the same ticket at one time. First person uses the ticket and enters through the gate, then hands the ticket to the next person who does the same, etc. .When you exit the sagrada familia metro, the church is right there.

@dkata, the information you provided IS NOT correct.

The T-10 travel cards allows for 10 journeys. The card has to be inserted into the machine ONCE for each passenger using the card. Up to 10 people can use the same card, thus, after the 10th passenger would have inserted the card into the machine, the card will be empty. If it's only a party of say 4, then 6 journeys will be left, and so on.

The blue line is L5.

In any case, there's a faster way to go to Sagrada Família from the cruise port: https://maps.tmb.cat/en/vullanar/planner/from_map/41.364401/2.1823636000000306/Moll%2520Adossat%252C%2520Barcelona%252C%2520Spain/to_map/41.40543367887094/2.174175279873907/la%2520Sagrada%2520Fam%25C3%25ADlia%252C%2520Barcelona/TRANSIT,WALK/02-20-2017/19:52/false//2000/false/0

Hi Courier95

It's the fastest way, and the metro system is safe, reliable, cheap, clean and convenient... and well indicated with indications in Catalan -the local language-, Spanish and English. Furthermore, 99% of the stations have lifts for people with reduced mobility.

Just sayin'

If you don't want to go by metro, your best bet is a taxi, it'll cost around 15€ (give or take). Alternatively, you could go by bus, but from the port, it'd require taking at least two buses plus some walking -between the stops- and time-wise it'd be much longer than the other two options.

Eric, Yes, you are correct. I did not mention that a T-10 ticket was 10 rides. Also, there is no limit on how many people can use the card (I was mixing up the New York Subway, which only allows a multi-ticket to be used by 4 people at a time. My error. Still think the metro is the way to go.

No pbl.. we all mix-up cities, lol! I also agree that metro "is" the way to go, but the OP seems to prefer to avoid it, and yeah, you're right -forgot the OP was departing from the port!-, there's a 3.10€ surcharge for arriving/departing from the port (http://taxi.amb.cat/documents/956832/1007019/Tarifa+Taxi_2017/23e065d2-2639-4731-a6c4-edbcf7c3df22)
