nope can't recommend a one .....

 

if he wants a lobster with claws, he does realize those come from New England .... not a local catch?

 

and even the clawless "Florida lobster" is not caught too much locally .... most arrives frozen from further south

To actually answer your question:

 

Yes, you can get whole lobster in Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral.

 

Like elsewhere in the US, where to go depends on availability and I cannot recommend any one place for that reason.

 

But you can start with Jazzy's Mainely Lobster who steams whole lobster for example. Seafood Atlantic also served whole lobsters when we last visited but that was a while ago.

 

We eat mostly lobster rolls so I am not an expert on the "whole" experience!

A wise decision. Warm-water lobster from Florida and the Caribbean is different (and not in a good way) in appearance, texture and taste from live cold-water Maine/Canadian lobster (which is currently selling for about $8 a pound here in NYC at a fish store two blocks from my apartment).
