  1. Preparation H is commonly used by professional makeup people to temporarily make under-eye bags reduce in size.
  2. It's for people who want to visit the Kennedy Space Center or one of the Orlando theme parks (yes, I think going to Orlando is a waste of time, too, but...).
  3. It is, unfortunately, possible to put explosives in both, and the metal in both will sometimes trigger scanners when you go through security.
  4. Look at TruBahamian food tours. I did one in January and it was quite worthwhile.
  5. Many hotels offer AAA or AARP discounts; you will just have to check,
  6. I recently (not on HAL) had a cabin with TWO connecting doors, for cabins on either side of me. One kept trying to open the door at all hours. It happened so often (without success, of course) that I figured the occupants were confusing the connecting door for the door to their bathroom. Other than that, no noise. Ah, but the other cabin...constant shouting, laughter, and general mayhem. No noise from either below or above.
  7. Leave later---a LOT later, like around 8 AM. What a way to start a vacation....
  8. Smart elevators are being installed all over, not just on cruise ships.
  9. The other option is trenitalia.com; there is an English option.
  10. Don't do this. You will be astonished at the size of your bill when you return from the cruise. Buy a wifi plan and put your phone in airplane mode when you are on the ship.
  11. I agree with Hank (Hiltner): I have been to Paris about 30 times, starting in 1971 when I was stationed in the army in Germany about 5 hours away by train; I have yet to see it all. Don't shortchange yourself.
  12. 2 & 3. I recently (January 6) sailed solo on the Meraviglia and for the right demographic it's a great cruise line. It just wasn't for me, and I will be returning to HAL.
  13. It took me several days to find the adults-only bar, which I loved. I think this is a great cruise line for a certain demographic; it just isn't for me.
  14. On January 6 I was seated at a table in Waves for 10. It was originally five of us, and by the last night it was only two. Very strange. I was Fantastica, But our waiter (Nova) was excellent.
  15. I recently sailed as a solo on the Meraviglia and quiet is not a word I would use to describe the ship,
  16. In my experience in Europe, Diners Club is virtually unknown, Discover is useless, and merchants hate American Express (even in the US) because their processing fees are higher than VISA or MasterCard.
  17. There are lots of sharks in the Caribbean. Swimming with pigs who poop in the water is one of the last things on earth I would want to do.
  18. Last week we did a walking food tour with Tru Bahamian; highly recommended. Other than that...meh.
  19. The OP asled about weddings ON BOARD the ship. Only SYMBOLIC weddings or vow renewals take place on board.
  20. It's NOT possible. They have to get married either before or after the cruise.
