Ineedavacationnow13 Posted February 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2017 Hi all, My bofriend and I are cruising to San Juan in late April. We plan on walking to El Morro and then exploring the town. Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants in the area where we can get authenic puerto rican food? Thanks! mikeyd Posted February 15, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 15, 2017 I can't recommend La Princessa enough! Great outdoor restaurant with trees growing through the roof. Very authentic food and great Pina Coladas. Try the croquettes and the taco sampler.
pepp7091 Posted February 23, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 23, 2017 We especially liked Rincon Iberico which is inside the Cuartel Ballaja, right outside the entrance to El Morro. Had a terrific lunch there, full meals with drinks all for $55. Awesome authentic food with an accommodating wait staff to translate the menu. Don't know if they're open for dinner, though. googles111 Posted March 7, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 7, 2017 I haven't been yet but going next month. I keep hearing to go to Barrachinas for the good pina coladas. I also heard El Jibarito is a good restaurant. We are trying both places.
