Am looking at cruising on Navigator, have always previously done freedom dining, is this an option on Navigator, as most posts seem to refer to fixed dining

Yes, you have your choice ot Traditional or My Time dining.

I have not heard any of the mainstream lines use that-the closest would be NCL with "freestyle".
