You can take it all to your stateroom, however it must fit through an airport type scanner. Note also that staterooms don't open until 1pm or so, and there is no place to store luggage untl then.

We check in our large luggage and keep our Carry ons with us which has everything we will want until the main luggage gets to our room. I always pack up to a week of clothes in my carry on in case the main luggage goes astray.

Everything must fit through the same size scanner as at the airport security checkpoint. Most cruise ships board at like 11 but the cabins are not accessible until 1 with little room to schlep your bags around until then.

Leave your luggage with the porter and enjoy NOT carrying them to your room. Tip them generously. My rule of thumb is at least $2/bag.
