powerlifter Posted March 16, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Is there a CHASE bank ATM at the Brussels airport? Is it best to exchange US to EURO in Brussels rather than in the US?
dabear Posted March 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2017 You will get a better exchange rate in the local country rather than the US. You should however look for a bank ATM rather than an independent one which usually has poorer exchange rates.
nancyevans Posted March 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2017 Go to the Chase website and look for "Locations ". IMO, don't use an ATM in such a public place. You are advertising to pickpockets that you have cash. If staying at a major hotel, there may be one in the lobby. Get a few euros for immediate needs when you arrive and then get money from an ATM as you go. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

If an ATM (bank or not) offers an option to convert the withdrawal to US dollars, DON'T accept that option. Just have the withdrawal posted in Euros, or the local currency, and your bank will do the conversion, rather than the overseas bank/financial company that owns the ATM. Same for credit cards. lis1407 Posted March 17, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) Is there a CHASE bank ATM at the Brussels airport? Is it best to exchange US to EURO in Brussels rather than in the US? hi Good advice !!!! There was an article in today's paper about ATM machines.( in Belgium ) Some machines hide a mini-mini-mini camera, placed by bandits, too copy your code. Use only ATM INSIDE A BANK OR HOTEL. Hope this is useful. Gilbert. Edited March 17, 2017 by lis1407
