Cruisekitty1977 Posted March 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2017 Hello! We are planning our on shore excursion for Naples and we would like to visit Pompeii but would also like to stop in Sorrento and do some lemoncello tasting at a couple of local places. While a lot of tours will do Pompeii and Sorrento, none specially mention lemoncello tasting, so I want to make sure we could like to have time to do some shopping. My husband's favorite liquor is Lemoncello and we really would like to each sample and buy several bottles to bring home.
Rare fabnfortysomething Posted March 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2017 if you are planning a private tour then ask in your email communication any good company will accommodate your particular wishes and am sure lemoncello tasting would be easily arranged
buchhalm Posted March 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2017 I think the question should be "What tour dies NOT stop for limoncello tasting "? They all seem to drag you I to such shops. Don't worry! 🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋
helpthejuggler Posted March 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2017 In the area outside Pompeii there is a place offering limoncello tasting. If you visit Sorrento it is fairly common to find places offering the same. It will be harder to avoid than find tastings, and for Meloncello too. travellgirl Posted March 27, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 27, 2017 We have ud s private tour company when we docked in Naples. You can customize where you want to stop. We find we enjoy booking a private tour much more than the excursions.
southerngirl8 Posted March 27, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 27, 2017 yes- If you do the Rome in Limo tour - Naples, Sorrento and Positano you will get to lots of shops after lunch in Sorrento for Limoncello. This is an amazing tour- ask for Giovanni as your tour guide and you will have a fun filled day of laughs too. If he mentions lunch to the place "on the corner" say YES!!! He makes reservations and the food is AMAZING- been there twice.
