The last time we sailed TA, the final port was South Hampton. We just walked off the ship. There was no Customs or Emigration. Does the same thing happen in Dover?

We had customs when we departed and arrived at Dover in 2010.

When us Brits travel the other way to the US of A, we usually carry out immigration on board ship. There will be a customs hall in Dover but we are a trusting lot :D

It was very quick for us and a lot of people were just waved through. I assume as they were European or UK citizens.
