Bringing Liquor On-board Last Night of Cruise

Oosterdam will stop in Victoria BC the last night of our cruise. Assuming I can find a government liquor store and the prices are less than WA state's high levels (after 50% tax) as well as after 34% (currently) favorable currency difference - then if we buy a couple bottles of Canadian Whisky (within customs limit) and declare it when we re-board what do they do with it? Normally purchases we make and declare are delivered to the cabin the last evening but this will be the last evening. Will they just let us take it to the cabin to pack in suitcases?

Likely depends on the security staff onboard. We brought liquor back onboard on the last day and they just told us to take it to our stateroom. Then again if they want to deliver it- less to carry :). Would seem silly as they usually deliver it early in the evening before dinner.

It really shouldn't matter. If you are getting on the ship in the afternoon, and they hold it, they're going to bring it to your room in the evening. If they don't hold it, you carry it on. Either way, it works out the same.
