AV8rix Posted April 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2017 Rather than taking huge wads of cash for my next cruise I decided to do either a credit line or wire transfer of funds for use at the tables. Well, the online credit line application requests you to enter your SSN, bank routing and transit number, bank account number, etc. Has any member actually used their web site for this sort of transaction? If so, have there been any issues -- privacy, safety, etc? BTW, despite an intensive search, I’ve never found any current phone contact for the Ocean Players Club. Furthermore, I’ve only had occasion to contact them once via email, and found them to be VERY slow to respond. Has any member found any tricks to make correspondence with them any easier? Um…just so’s ya know (in case you are RCCI group or NCL group folks), the Ocean Players Club is the players club for the CCL corporate group (Carnival, Seabourn, HAL, etc, etc). So I’d appreciate responses only from those folks rated with the Ocean Players Club. Your experiences with CAS or Club Royale will not answer my specific questions. Thanks in advance

AV8rix Posted April 6, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted April 6, 2017 Ocean Players Club 1-888-772-6697 No, that is the number for Princess Cruise Line. I should have realized that after reading your signature. I'm a HAL customer and if I were asked the same question I CERTAINLY wouldn't have responded with the main HAL phone number.

Thanks in advance Having sailed quite a few times with CCL (and having spent entirely too much time in the casino! ), I did some googling for a current number - and oh my! You are correct - current OPC numbers are impossible to find! I did recognize Michael Bayona's name from the website though, and dug through my old e-mails for a number for him: 1-888-672-2582 ext. 16034. This was his number 2 years ago - I hope it works! Edited to add: I just called the number I posted and discovered it is indeed the current number for Ocean Players Club. Whether or not the extension for Mr. Bayona is correct remains to be seen, but at least the number should get you through to someone! Edited April 7, 2017 by samiam0403 Updated info! After a couple of email responses from some underlings from the OPC, I finally received a response from Michael himself yesterday. In addition to the "business" parts of my email message to them I had complained about their website not being as open and informative as your NCL CAS site (which displays their phone number, tier levels, etc), he told me that they're working to improve their site and we should see some "changes in the coming months". Thanks again!
muggo11 Posted May 9, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 9, 2017 I nearly always request lines of credit of $2500-$5000 for my OPC cruises so I don't have to carry cash. (Just make sure your CHECKING account has enough in it--they don't take into account how much is in your IRA😍). It generally takes about two weeks--all very efficient. I send an email--they call me with the approval. I write a check if I end up losing--the check is cashed 2-4 weeks from when the cruise ends. hightownCO Posted May 13, 2017 #8 Share Posted May 13, 2017 Curious about this. Once you secure the LOC and you're on the cruise, do you go to the casino cage to draw cash (like for slots) or chips? Can you draw your whole LOC at once like at the beginning of the cruise? Then at end pay back what cash you have to stop or lessen the draw on your checking after the cruise ends? muggo11 Posted May 14, 2017 #9 Share Posted May 14, 2017 HightownCO. Yes, you get your cash from the cage. And, yes, you can get it all at once. The last night the casino is open, you repay the marker with cash, check or a combo. Just remember to tuck a check or two in your wallet! It generally takes two weeks or so for them to cash my check.
