I am purchasing the drink package but have a question on the Voom - it states that you can text, email using the fastest internet at sea. Does this mean I can text from the ship to home without any charge from my cell provider?

Correct, if your phone has WiFi calling enabled, or you are using an internet based texting app, such as iMessage or WhatsApp.
