RCI cruise links to enhance your cruise

Too bad you can't make this a sticky and ability to simply update the first post.

All cruise ships

http://www.nauticalcities.com/cruise...ll%20Operators

This site has not been updated in about 3 years - not sure how useful it is.

I have asked people to post their favorite links they use to enhance their cruise. Many don't interest me but at least one person uses it.

I don't understand the need for the music videos.

This is strictly a personal thing. When I am waiting for my cruise date to come and I am bored I liven myself up by looking for cruise related youtubes.. Thought others especially first time cruisers might enjoy those links.

St. Maarten

We went to the "Yoda Guy" museum. It's run by the guy who created the original Yoda puppet for Star Wars, and worked on a bunch of other movies. The place is full of memorabilia, and the Yoda Guy himself is usually there. We met him, really nice guy and interesting to talk to. Not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure, but my son and I are big Star Wars fans so we were all about it. $25 for all 3 of us to walk through the museum, well worth it.

Nothing to book, you basically just walk in. We didn't use any transportation, it's about a 10 minute walk from the dock. It's on the map/shopping guide for St Maarten they give you, it is one of the places listed

Emergency Codes

Alpha = Medical Emergency

Bravo = Fire

Delta = Damage to the ship or Bio Hazard

Echo - it is used when at anchor or in port as the OOW (officer on watch) feels that the ship is an danger... possibly high winds and needs to assemble the crew to move the passengers off the gangways and move ship away from the pier etc.

Oscar - Man overboard... Usually with a direction (port or starboard, forward or aft

St.

St.

Alpha = Medical Emergency

Bravo = Fire

Papa = Some form of Pollution has occurred (Oil spill, etc)

Bright Star = death

Cruiselines have codes that will be announced to inform crew members of action that needs to be taken. They use these codes as to not be intrusive or disturbing to passengers. It can vary from someone has fallen down stairs, there's a fight between two passengers, there's a broken water pipe, to more serious problems
