cdatsea Posted May 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2017 I am looking for advice for getting different currencies for my Baltic cruise. Euros won't be a problem, but do I need to get Krones for Denmark, Kronas for Sweden and Rubles for Russia? I especially do not want to use an ATM in St Petersburg. Can I get by on Euros and credit cards?
easyboy Posted May 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2017 We mainly used credit cards. Most stores accept US$. We had krones in Denmark for taxi fare. Our tour guide in St. Petersburg had some Rubles for possible exchange. Sent from my iPad using Forums
hallasm Posted May 11, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2017 Taxi's in Denmark in general does accept major credit card - and many stores does accept EUR or US$ - in St Petersburg you can exchanges US$ to Rubles if necessary - many will accept US$. CruiserBruce Posted May 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 11, 2017 A quick look around the board will find many threads on the topic, like this one less than 10 threads down: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2418419 And don't forget credit cards. Widely used.
