shasha6167 Posted May 15, 2017 #51 Share Posted May 15, 2017 We had 12 wonderful nights on Anthem, for us, 5 nights go so fast. I posted some pictures and videos (which came out sideways) :( of the Tribute bands "Wanted, DSB and our friend Andy singing in the casino on Anthem of the Seas FB page. I have all the Compasses for the 5 days. Here's Day 1, hoping you'll be able to see them well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thank you so much for sharing! jsacco20 Posted May 15, 2017 Author #52 Share Posted May 15, 2017 We currently have the U2 tribute band. (Wish it was any of the others but they aren't bad) Silent Party was so much fun! We have done them before other places but this was actually a highlight. Docking in St. Maartin today at noon. I'm saving all the compass' to upload when I get back. Pandabear90 Posted May 15, 2017 #57 Share Posted May 15, 2017 What is a silent party? Sent from my iPhone using Forums Headphones are given to everyone. There are 2 stations in which the DJ is playing music and you just dance. It's hilarious if you are sober and standing and watching everyone. It's also funny if you are participating cause there are 2 stations playing so at first you think some people are just off with their dancing meanwhile they are dancing to a Completely different song

jsacco20 Posted May 16, 2017 Author #60 Share Posted May 16, 2017 Was the water in Bermuda warm? How hard is it to get to that cliff to jump from the beach at horseshoe bay? Water was chilly but everyone was still swimming. We put our feet in and it was cold but after the sun started beating down, and we got used to it, it was fine. Never did the cliff jump so I don't know about that.

jsacco20 Posted May 16, 2017 Author #63 Share Posted May 16, 2017 Last fall when we were on the Serenade, they had a form you could fill out and hang on the door for the bar staff (your cabin steward let them know it was there) and they would bring you up to 24 cans of soda (Diet Coke) do you know if they do this on the Anthem? Thanks Just noticed it mentions being able to do this on the back of the cruise compass but I don't see the forms in my room. Perhaps you just need to ask your cabin steward. jsacco20 Posted May 16, 2017 Author #66 Share Posted May 16, 2017 Tonight we ate in the MTD again. We have My Time but did not make reservations for tonight. There was no line for no reservations and a line FOR reservations. We walked right in while everyone else was waiting. Service was A LOT better. Food was still just okay but overall it was a much better experience. Creme Brûlée was unanimously one of the best we have ever had. Did North Star at 7:30 as we were pulling out of St. Maartin. It was definitely cool at night but I would suggest going when in port during the day. You couldn't see much at night and during sea days, you are basically just looking at the ocean which is exactly what you are seeing from the ship. Leaving the ship we were never offered towels which we almost always are so we never thought to grab them earlier. We were already leaving the ship when we realized it so we ended up having a beach day without any towels They did a Queen Tribute show in the music hall tonight with singers from the show and maybe other performers? I don't know who they were but it was awful. Freddie Mercury had a very unique voice and this just felt like karaoke. I'm hoping the show is much better. I don't know, I kinda feel like if you have a hard time sounding even slightly like Queen, maybe they aren't the best band to be paying homage to. Disappointed since I like Queen. jsacco20 Posted May 16, 2017 Author #70 Share Posted May 16, 2017 We aren't doing too well on the room service front. On Mother's Day we ordered pancakes, eggs over easy w/ hashbrowns, and an omelette with hashbrowns. We received: no pancakes and 5 ordered of eggs. 1 over easy, the rest omlettes all with hashbrowns and bacon. Today we ordered croissant, omelette with hashbrowns, and pancakes. We received: 3 orders of omlettes with hashbrowns and no pancakes. However, they do amazing when they just deliver coffee every morning!

brookmill18 Posted June 2, 2017 #73 Share Posted June 2, 2017 We are on the sailing in July--any chance you could post the compasses? I don't think there's a recent 9night Caribbean posted anywhere yet. Did you do the trapeze school? Wondering if going to line up 1hr before is enough if you want to be in the first session. Thank you! Have not done Trapeze, but I would line up early for any activity in Sea Plex, an hour earlier should be fine. After the MDRs and the buffet close at night, what other options are available for a late night snack? MARAPRINCE You have Cafe Promenade that has small sandwiches and dessert, Sorrentos has pizza until 3 am, Michael's Pub $ until 12:30 am and room service $.
