A room question on the Magic

I sail on 5/27, with a balcony on lido. The last time I called to check on a price drop, I was informed that all balconies are now sold out.

 

I had a random thought just now: is it possible to switch to a guarantee balcony category now? I assume that if they did it, I would get the difference in OBC (the most attractive reason for me to do this, honestly).

 

I'm thinking that, worst case scenario, I would end up with the same room that I already have, or get upgraded to something else?

 

Thoughts? Is this even a possible thing? Or should I leave well enough alone?

First you need to see if they are offering a balcony GTY! If so, then call and ask if you can switch!

If your currently assigned cabin is your choice, I suggest you do not consider anymore switching to a guarantee cabin, granting it is still possible. Simplify things.

I'm not sure but I think a guarantee is a trade down. You can only trade up. I would just call and ask.
