Rare whitshel Posted May 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2017 For our Equinox cruise in August we got a very good group rate so we wont be getting any perks with it. Since this cruise has 4 ports I really dont want to buy the classic package either (I don't think I can make it Pay) But I will be buying the premium non alcoholic package. My question is can I get like a virgin mojito (included with the package) and then buy a shot of rum to put in it? Would it be cheaper this way than buying a mojito? How much are shots of just house alcohol? If I want an alcohol drink, say like a pina colada, do they just charge the difference between a virgin one and a regular one? I know these are probably silly questions, but like I said I don't plan on drinking a ton but if I can save a few bucks, I will:cool:
miched Posted May 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2017 There is nothing that prevents you from buying a shot unless you are a minor. As of now with a non alcoholic package you cannot pay the difference between a drink on that package and a alcoholic drink. You would be charged the full price. Drink up 🍸🍹🍷🍺
maryred Posted May 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 18, 2017 Here's what our recent experience was. DH & I had the Premium Non-Alcoholic Package and for his occasional 7&7 or Jameson and Ginger he first started ordering his soda by the can with a shot of the whiskey. To him it made sense at first because that's what he does at restaurants & bars at home to control how strong of a drink it is, but by the 3rd day he found out he was paying more for the shot than if he just ordered the well drink alone with an extra soda to water it down as needed. Not sure if it will be the same experience with the 0 proof frozen drinks (which is why I upped us to the Premium) and ordering a shot of rum, you may need to experiment and report back to us.
