minikiss Posted May 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2017 I’m wondering is anyone on here has used cruisepark Southampton before? Looking for a few thoughts and experiences of them. Before i get loads of replies saying we use " X " car parking, I best say my husband is very fussy when it comes to where and who he leaves hiscar with. So meet and greet types are not an option as he will not let anyoneelse drive his pride and joy. He likes to park and where possible take the keyswith us so he will not consider The last time we sailed from Southampton we used Alternativecruise parking ACP and to be honest the prices are roughly the same but one isout doors the other claim to be inside. Hubby has used Google maps to see where Cruise park arebased and didn’t think much to where you go to. So has anyone used them and can give their thoughts on their service. Many thanks
Rare Peewee14 Posted May 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2017 Whats the problem with the ABP parking at the port? Thats we normally use?
SullytheBFG Posted May 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 19, 2017 ABP is convenient and next to the ship. Always use them.
sddsddean Posted May 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2017 If this is for the Ventura cruise in your signature, ABP don't do P&O...that would be CPS https://www.cruiseparking.co.uk/ I cannot help with a review of Cruisepark, but when we did P&O, CPS drive your car away from outside the terminal(after you have removed all the luggage) and park it in their park next to the ship. On return, you walk to the car park and collect your keys from their portakabin and walk to your car. Don't know if hubby would be happy with this, but we had no problems. Simon CPS was really bad when we did it....couple of hours waiting to hand over the car. Found ABP parking for Independence much easier
minikiss Posted May 19, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted May 19, 2017 Thanks all for the replies about CPS if it wasn't valet parking I would be looking at it right now. But I'm after someone that does self park. Hubby has to know that the car is parked where he put it,not where someone else did. He'd never allow anyone else to drive his car, to much his pride and joy for that. Doesn't bother us having to be shuttled to the port as not going to be in a hurry and carrying luggage not a problem either.
Rare little britain Posted May 19, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 19, 2017 AB Parking is the company to use for RCI cruises. End of. Not sure why you would want valet parking when you can practically throw your suitcases on the ship from the carpark.
