Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted May 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 22, 2017 Hello, We just got off the Harmony and my other half received a cruise certificate for a balony stateroom to be used on one of the many sailing dates that are listed on the certificate. Has anybody used this type of certificate before? Can you tell me whether these dates available to use the certificate are casino special cruises? For those who have used the certificate have you found the tables to have higher minimum bets and the slots to be more tight?
Clarea Posted May 22, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2017 Can you post a scan of both sides of the certificate so we have all the info?
CruisinCons Posted May 22, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2017 If you are going to post a picture, make sure you blur out any info that can be used by someone to recreate and fake a certificate. You can't trust people nowadays. I haven't won a casino certificate, but have won a bingo certificate. We had a full paragraph of details about when it could and could not be used. Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted May 22, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted May 22, 2017 I don't know how to scan but I ask my other half some facts that is stated on it: I have to pay taxes and fees and gratuities....taxes and fees for the sailing that I want in October is around $218 it is non transferrable I am allowed to have another cabin for family friend with a little discounted rate 100% totally refundable, the taxes and fees I pay When booking you have to pay the taxes and fees right away The holder of the certificate must be in the stateroom certificate is non refundable and non replaceable if stolen, lost etc. You must use it for one of the many dates listed on the certificate but if you wish to make a future sailing it will give me $1k off that sailing. (trade in offer within one year of issue for $1k) Must book with the number given on certificate There is a list of sailings/dates/ships Starting from Marcy 2, 2017-May 25, 2017 August 27, 2017-October 30, 2017 Enchantment, Allure, Adventure, Anthem, Explorer, Oasis, Liberty, Serenade, Navigator 4, 5 and 7 night cruises
CruisinCons Posted May 22, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 22, 2017 Mine was similar, but a little less specific on dates/ships. I had to complete my sail within 365 days of the date of the certificate. The boat must be less than 365 days old. It had to be a Caribbean sailing, and I could not sail during holiday weeks or during the months of June, July or August. No option to use on a sailing past 365 days, but when I e-mailed and asked if we could they did with no problem. Interior or Outside only, could upgrade if desired. Had to pay port charges, taxes, fees and pre-paid gratuities in full when booking. They assign the room. Non-transferable.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted May 22, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted May 22, 2017 I am going to book it up now, they said I can choose my room but it must be a cabin category D8 on deck 12 or 14 which I will choose deck 12 with no public area space above me. Life is Good Cruising Posted May 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 23, 2017 Hello, We just got off the Harmony and my other half received a cruise certificate for a balony stateroom to be used on one of the many sailing dates that are listed on the certificate. Has anybody used this type of certificate before? Yes Can you tell me whether these dates available to use the certificate are casino special cruises? On the latest certificate, none of the sail dates are special cruises. Normally, there would be a few dates on the certs. that are part of Club Royale's special Event cruises. Below are the CR Event sailings. There's additional CR Special Event sailings not listed on the document below in which are invites only and are sent out via snail mail or regular mail. http://media.royalcaribbean.com/content/en_US/pdf/2017-Casino-Calendar.pdf For those who have used the certificate have you found the tables to have higher minimum bets and the slots to be more tight? Yes, I have found that a lot of the tables have a higher minimum bet on CR Event sailings. Slots, most are tight anyway but I think they crank up the tightness a little more ;) You have to be at the right machine at the right time for that jackpot. Don't know if you booked anything yet, but you also use the value of the balcony discount to apply to any other sail date not listed on that certificate. You'll still have to pay for taxes & grats. You will receive Crown and Anchor points for your sailing. See answers in red Best of luck to you on your next cruise!
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted May 23, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted May 23, 2017 Thank you for that link, fortunately my sailing is not on the list so hoping everything be normal and not tight lol We chose a date that was on the list, October 29 Oasis, we were planning on going on a Carnival ship on October 15th, but with this wonderful generous deal and RC exceeds Carnival is every way, how could we not book RC? :D
