Back from the Vista 5/28

I've read so much on the Vista and have heard very negative things. However, after sailing on her I just do not see why there is so much negativity. The ships design and decor is very modern, new and fresh. All the details on the ship are tasteful and timeless. I can understand people are used to a certain look with Carnival, but I absolutely loved the Vista and highly encourage anyone on the fence to sail her! You will be surprised at how beautiful everything is. From the cabin doors, to the picturesque features at all the stairwells...this ship is gorgeous! And who says there has to be glass elevators in the lobby?? I loved the LED funnel lol.

Loved the Vista except the frustration of the smaller main theatre and the visual sight issues in the balcony.

Never had a bad cruise!

I just booked on the Vista for this September 9th. 8 nights Eastern Caribbean. Did the Breeze 2 years ago and Glory last year loved both. Only issue some may have? The absence of a third closet compartment. This, I believe is for housing the HVAC works for your cabin which bodes well for me as the chances are greater for me to get max AC and make it nice and chilly. An incentive TO PACK LESS!

The casino treated me very well. It's smaller than the Magic and Victory (only other Carnival ships I've been on) which can get kind of frustrating when the roulette table is hitting all my numbers. I was there every night and made a decent profit but when I spoke to the casino host they didn't rate me highly at all. Another guy who was at the roulette tables as much as I was and betting less had the DOU card which made me mad. I've read other people say on these boards that interacting with the pit bosses and casino host may make a difference. I guess I'll have to try it on my next cruise. But other than that you shouldn't be disappointed by the casino. There was never a wait for any other game other than the roulette table.
