On board the Anthem now! Any questions?

Based on other 9 night anthem cruises, I heard formal night is nights 2 and 8. Is that correct?

That is what it was for us on our 9 night cruise last month.

First, I hope you are enjoying your cruise! I do have a question...I just recently learned that Anthem has an indoor pool. I know about the solarium, but apparently there is a indoor pool too.

My question does it just have a roof over it? Is it enclosed like any other indoor pool? Last question...is it a heated pool? It's probably nice and warm right now, but I'll be sailing at the end of September on a New England/Canada cruise. Just wondering if I have more than one pool option :- )

Thanks in advance!

The indoor pool is completely enclosed. It has a glass roof and sliding glass windows that can be opened for ventilation. I don't think that any of the pools are heated.

is the wait time for the bumper cars long?

Not if you go on embarkation day before the Muster drill. The Sea Plex is shared with other Activities, e.g., roller skating, basketball and circus trapzee, so if you don't go on boarding day, try to get in line at least 30 mins. before the start of bumper cars on the days it's listed in the Cruise Planner.

Yes, plenty of $.25 machines on Anthem where you can bet the minimum of $.25 a spin.

Hope you're enjoying your cruise!!!

1. Did you do any pre-cruise reservations (dinners or IFly/Northstar/etc) or were you able to have your Genie just get you in whenever and wherever you want to go?

2. Can you see what the earliest time you can conceivably plan on being able to disembark on the last day? Our cruise is way off but as of now the best non-stop times from Newark to Seattle are either 9:30 AM or 5:30 PM. If your Genie is able to get you off the ship as soon as possible, it may be worth the stress to not have to sit around all day.

Thanks for the info on the bumper cars. For the genie booking was there a confirmed time?

Your Genie just kinda takes care of anything! Every morning we get an itinerary with all of the things he has planned!

It does have an indoor pool, I would assume that it is heated for the winter months!

Yes, they have penny, quarter and dollar slots... I will say the casino is not very good! We normally spend a lot of time in the casinos, but haven't spent much time here!

1. We did do some precruise reservations before we upgraded to Star Class.. Our Genie is Derick and we emailed him pre cruise and he worked everything out! He also adjusted things onboard to make stuff work! I don't know if I ever want to cruise without a Genie!

2. Just knowing how crazy it its gets between the terminal and the airport, not to mention Newark is a busy airport in and of itself.. you may want to pick the later flight! I would rather have a little stress then the stress of rebooking if you miss your flight! That and the rest of the flights may be booked up! I'll ask and find out for you though!

From my experience on Anthem, Self disembarkation starts at 7:30 am, when Anthem's arrival time back to Cape Liberty is at 7 am, which is the time for the current sailing.

When Anthem arrives back to Cape Liberty at 6 am (which is your sailing's arrival time in April 2019), self disembark starts at 6:30 am. Newark airport is 11 miles from the port of Cape Liberty, without traffic it takes approx 20 mins., from port to airport and with traffic, it could take an hour or more. Since your sailing arrives back to Bayonne on a Saturday, there shouldn't be much traffic at all on the weekends. I would still count on a little traffic getting to the airport. IMO, I think you would be safe catching the earlier flight.

Hi. Which deck on Anthem can you walk all the way around the ship?

Deck 15, you can walk all the way around the ship.

......Just watched you arrive into Bermuda on the webcam. Weather looks nice........

When you say "webcam" is that something streamed from their mobile device? Or, is there a webcam on the docks? Sorta like the surfcams or boardwalk cams they have at the Jersey shore?

This is a very popular webcam that has webcams in many ports. Just switch the cam in the upper left corner and you can see Bermuda.

I appreciate the info...thank you!

My pleasure :)

What if you do on line check in except for uploading photos? Do we need to go on a separate line even if we are Diamond? We planned to have our photos taken during checkin at the port. Everything else will be done on line.

MARAPRINCE

Checking in with a rep with an IPad goes much faster and it only takes them seconds to take your photo, which we have them take our photo every the time.

After looking at photos of the Concierge Lounge, I didn't notice a "bar" like on other ships. Do they only have waiters instead of a traditional bar?

Heck if I know! Lol we went in there a couple of times but must have went at the wrong time, everyone we went it was two old guys looking into space!

I hope you are enjoying your trip! Just wondering if the Royal IQ app works to communicate with my family without any internet purchased?

We didn't use it, we had it down loaded and everything was wrong, our genie told us not to pay attention to it! We had the voom package and the worked great! I could stream movies on it if I wanted to!
