We will be on our 1st RCCI cruise end of July, Oasis of the Seas.

How do they handle low sodium diet requests?

We have cruised with Celebrity many times and they are great. We almost always stay in MDR and the matre'd goes over the next day's menu after dinner with us.

My wife needed a low sodium diet. She included it on her reservations that she needed a low sodium diet. When we got on board, the wait staff would let her know what items were low sodium. This was a few years ago so it may be different.

I noted my need for a low sodium diet on my reservation. I checked in with the head waiter upon boarding to ensure that the request was received. The head waiter brought the next evening's menu at the conclusion of dinner each night and I made my selections. Main dishes were prepared with no salt, and I was advised of which items were "pre-packaged" and could not be made salt-free. It worked perfectly!

We noted it on special needs prior to cruise on Brilliance in April. One of the chefs actually came out and talked to us. No problem. Ask and you shall receive.

Just the same. The headwaiter usually provides the next day's menu fit for your needs.
