I have a question for those who may know.

 

We haven't been on NCL in a few years.

 

It seems that as Platinum, we are now offered the following two:

Dinner For Two At Cagney's Or Le Bistro With A Bottle Of Wine5

 

 

Dinner For Two At Moderno Or La Cucina5

 

Our question is, can you make reservations for these in advance or do you have to wait until you are on board?

You can make the reservations in advance (90 days prior to cruise in non-suite cabin, 100 days prior to cruise in suite). Keep in mind, that since Moderno has a fixed cost, if you don't have SDP, you will have to pay that fixed fee, but will get it back in the form of OBC. The others are a la carte, so you don't have to pay anything up front.

Yes, you can make reservations prior to the cruise.

 

There is a problem though, if you want to go to Moderno. As that has a fixed charge, rather than being a la carte, you are required to pay for it when booking.

 

If you have the SDP then you can get round this by making it one of the first bookings you do (see the guide linked in my signature for more info). However, if you don't have the dining package then you will have to pay and then get that refunded onboard.
