Returning to ship in San Juan

Has anybody done this lately? How closely do they check your bags for beer etc?

We cruised out of San Juan last year and they didn't check anything closely, wondering if returning to ship is same.'

We did a B@B out of SJU. We got off 4 times before our 10pm departure and bought 8 bottles of wine at CVS. No one said a word.

There is a difference in boarding at embark and returning to the ship after a port call.
