buckeyetraveler1 Posted June 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2017 I booked adjoining balcony staterooms on the Nieuw Amsterdam and was wondering if we will be able to move the balcony divider and go back and forth.

Yes your room steward will open the divider for you. It will just create a small opening, not the whole thing.
Krazy Kruizers Posted June 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2017 It is just a small door up by the rail. You can see what looks like a knob on top that is used to latch the door in place.
Rare POA1 Posted June 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 27, 2017 I can't do any better than KK and her photos, but you should know that that you will lose one of the 3 closets for the pass through door.
Mrs. Nic Posted November 29, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 29, 2017 This is an older thread but I wondered if there is Plexiglas under the railings or metal. It doesn't look like Plexiglas. Anyone know?
catl331 Posted November 29, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 29, 2017 (edited) This is an older thread but I wondered if there is Plexiglas under the railings or metal. It doesn't look like Plexiglas. Anyone know?On the NA the cabins with metal railings are 4001 to 4042, marked on deck plans with a black diamond. All others are plexiglas. KK's pics could be showing the deck 4 cabins with metal. I agree that it doesn't look like plexiglas panels but OTOH it doesn't look like solid metal either! :) Edited November 29, 2017 by catl331
catl331 Posted November 29, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 29, 2017 It doesn't look like Plexiglas. I agree that it doesn't look like plexiglas panels ...On second thought it does look like plexi to me ... the angle just make them look narrow. Mrs. Nic Posted November 29, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 29, 2017 Love this website! Thanks much. We have a little guy with us who won't be able to see over the top of the railing.
