mcmarya Posted July 5, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 5, 2017 You can also take the #10 bus to the beach--the station is across the street from the port.

SpaceCowboy9 Posted July 7, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 7, 2017 Take the Arubus http://arubus.com to any beach. 4$ for a round trip or $10 for a day pass. My wife and I did it a couple of weeks ago and it worked great. We got the day pass and went to Arashi beach and spent a little time shopping at a little strip mall across from the Hilton. DW and I are planning on going to Arashi Beach on our cruise. How was it? What facilities are available? How was the snorkeling? Grant2000 Posted August 21, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 21, 2017 There's plenty to see in Oranjestad Aruba where the cruise port is located, if you wish to stay near the cruise port. If you would rather spend time on a beautiful beach, Palm Beach is definitely the place to go. You can catch a local bus at the bus station one block from the cruise terminal. The beach is just 15 minutes away and the bus leave every few minutes. http://aruba-island.com
rjgdjg Posted August 21, 2017 #12 Share Posted August 21, 2017 There's also a really nice park--Wilhelmina Park--within walking distance of the port (take a right onto the main street and follow it along the water). It has a lot of green space, where you'll sometimes see folks spread out on blankets, and several statues--one of Queen Wilhelmina and another of Anne Frank. The best part for kids--there are iguanas wandering all around the park (they don't come near you). The park staff actually encourages them, by periodically tossing them lettuce. - Musing About Cruising

cruiseapril Posted October 19, 2017 #14 Share Posted October 19, 2017 One can take a bus to Palm Beach or a taxi. A taxi was only $5 pp and the desk will call a taxi for the return.
