missymerv Posted July 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2017 What is the name of the onboard program that for a fee ($20 pp?) transfers your luggage to the airport? How well does this work? What has the experience been like for those who have used this. TIA :)
-Lew- Posted July 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2017 EZCheck... The service has worked well for us. We put our larger pieces of luggage out in the hallway the evening before disembarkation and claim them at our home airport. The service includes boarding passes, so you go directly to security upon arrival at the airport.
Pmorton3360 Posted July 11, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2017 I loved ez check in FLL. I had a late flight and spent the day on the water taxi. Money well spent. Sent from my BLU STUDIO 5.5 HD using Forums mobile app

ggprincess2004 Posted July 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 11, 2017 Yes, it will work for that flight, as long as your airline is one participating in the program. We love it.

Eagle_and_hawk Posted July 11, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 11, 2017 (edited) About 2-3 days before the end of the cruise, you will get this form below left in your room. This is from this past February in Fort Lauderdale. We have used it once, and it was worth it since we always take the early walk off times. Clampram Posted July 11, 2017 #9 Share Posted July 11, 2017 (edited) We just used this service on the Royal Princess in April. We had an 8PM flight out of MIA and didn't want to lug everything around with us. Our only problem was that the cruise line did not bother to put the info for it in our mail holder outside of the cabin. Our mistake was waiting for it to show up. Finally, we went to the desk at the purser's office and got the info from them. For some reason we were just skipped over. We filled out the paperwork immediately, the desk took it and after that it was easy. In the afternoon prior to departure, we received our luggage tags and boarding passes to the cabin at approx 5 PM. I was surprised that they were able to print boarding passes out more than 24 hours prior to departure. Placed our bags out that night and didn't see them again until our home airport. Well worth it in this case. I would advise that you look for this sooner than we did as we almost missed the cutoff for it. The info is put in your room mailbox about day 6 of a 10 day cruise Edited July 11, 2017 by Clampram mistake
BDRebel Posted July 11, 2017 #10 Share Posted July 11, 2017 As an added bonus, there are no overweight charges for the bags checked through this program.
