Sparetiming Posted July 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2017 Hi Y'all, we have never sailed to Labadee and for that matter never sailed RCCL either. Can someone please tell me what are the best activities? If you have the Deluxe Beverage Package can you drink for free? Is there specific bars you must go to? Once you disembark the ship where should you go to the nicest beach, best shopping, snorkeling? Thank you.
ransrider Posted July 29, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2017 Once you have the beverage package on Royal, drinks at any Labadee bar are included. Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app
Rare Lionesss Posted July 29, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2017 As far as snorkeling goes, the area is over fished by the locals as their food source. You will see some small fishies, and eels on occasion, but mostly snorkeling is just splashing around in the water. Try going to Columbus beach for a nice place to camp out for the day, BBQ close by. Everything really is close by. Vendors on the hill are very aggressive We usually buy souviniers in the buildings on the way to the dragons coaster. Avoid paying for the water slide, waste of money. Enjoy Labadee we do.
cb at sea Posted July 29, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2017 The shopping isn't much...there are 2 areas....one has RCI "local" vendors...they don't harass you like the true "local" vendors can...most folks steer clear of the non-RCI area. They can be pretty aggressive...not dangerous, but they don't take "no" for an answer! There really isn't much that I've seen that I would consider a "must have". Consider this a beach day...there is little reason to spend money on "activities" on Labadee (or Coco Cay, RCI's other private beach!)
cruisingbooboo Posted July 30, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 30, 2017 If you can afford to buy a trinket from a local please do.That $5.00 could make a difference in their lives.
cantgetaname Posted August 8, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 8, 2017 Never been to Labadee before, what are the names of the two markets. I'm assuming the one mentioned on 'the hill' is the one at Town Square (The Artisans Market?)
