BoopTennis Posted August 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2017 hi, can anyone describe the configuration of the beds for a 3-person BC balcony cabin on the Island Princess? For a mom and dad and 11-year old. Where is the 3rd bed? can the main Bed 1 and Bed 2 be together as a queen or do they all have to be twins? Where exactly is the 3rd bed at, does it pull down from wall? thank you
Colo Cruiser Posted August 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2017 hi, can anyone describe the configuration of the beds for a 3-person BC balcony cabin on the Island Princess? Where exactly is the 3rd bed at, does it pull down from wall? thank you Could be a drop down from the ceiling (recessed when not in use) over the main bed area or it could be a rollaway. We have had both in the past in a regular balcony cabin. Usually yes the main bed can be put together.
skynight Posted August 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2017 It is almost always a drop down upper berth from the ceiling. When you board the lower beds will most probably be in the twin positions. When they are in the queen position the upper berth will be over the entrance to the lower bed. You can request your cabin steward to set the lower bed in the queen position once you understand the issue.
BoopTennis Posted August 8, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted August 8, 2017 thank you, I called Princess and she did confirm that the 3rd bed pulls down from the ceiling, and that the main beds on the floor will be in twin configuration, not queen. Perhaps as you say there is a way to put them in queen configuration.. But in the cabins she checked, they can actually be 4-person cabins, not sure if that makes a difference or not Does anyone know where to find a PHOTO of a similar balcony cabin with the bed is in the down position?
