Produce123 Posted August 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2017 Hi there. We have read that the Puerto Rico stop on Carnival Vista is a great place to explore by foot. Can anyone recommend a website or walking route that we should take once we get off the ship? We would like to do our own thing without a tour but not sure which direction we should go to see the most of the city. Thanks.
travelnteach64 Posted August 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2017 We will be there next week, so far I've found this post (and the two sister posts that are linked) to be interesting and informative.
Rare crewsweeper Posted August 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2017 Can't see which links travelnteach64 posted, but Google walking tours for Old San Juan. And look for one that's a PDF from Salisbury State. Pics, maps, guide notes. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Forums mobile app

Walk north for one block and then walk east and west on that block .There are museums ,parks and shopping .Then walk north another block and go east west .You can walk north about 5-6 blocks .You can also walk east to a fort. cath32 Posted August 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 7, 2017 There is a really nice walk the goes outside the walls of the city along the harbour and around the point and then you can get up to the front of El Morro From the end of the walk. Basically you turn left when you get off the ship and just keep going straight. The roads just turn into the sidewalk that is the path. It is a paved walking path. I find it very peaceful with lots of cats and iguanas for company!
