Muster drill time for 4pm sail away ?

Is there a standard time that HAL conducts muster drills for 4pm sailaways from Seattle ? Trying to plan nap times for my kids.

Except for Koningsdam, HAL muster drills are held outside on the Lower Promenade deck. You are asked NOT to bring your life jacket as the straps trailing on the floor and stairs can be a tripping hazard. Upon embarkation, your stateroom TV should be showing a safety presentation which includes a demonstration of how to don the life jacket. At the muster drill they will demonstrate this also. m--

On deck lined up under your tender - no life jackets.

 

Stood for at least 20 minutes .. barked at .. no info .. told to stand shoulder to shoulder

One of the traditions of cruising from two decades ago that has not yet changed.

The majority of our life boat drills in Seattle were at 3:15.

Some lasted well over 1/2 hour.

And no matter what the weather is, it is held outside.

Sounds like you've got a plan.

There will be regular P.A. announcements in slow, clear English about the mandatory drill, including the time of the drill. You will be able to schedule naps.
